Javier and Heather – now it’s finally your big day
You’re exchanging your vows - in a most beautiful way
Your love for one another - comes straight from your hearts
Today is the day when your marriage really starts
Let’s turn the page back to where it all began
Back to the time when they were only friends
They met at work – Javier was Heather’s boss
He was oh so cute – and so very nice she thought
She surmised that perhaps she was too young for him
But some flirtatious glances made those worries grow dim
Javier liked Heather’s short temper - her humor and her smile
But she knows just how to balance it – that Heather is quite versatile
There are many things Heather likes about her man
She likes his beautiful eyes and his very gentle hands
She also likes the way he takes care of her
His patience makes her want to just curl up and purr
When Javier first met Heather - she was shy and very quiet
But after getting to know her - he found her to be a total delight
She had this mysterious look about her - which intrigued him even more
As time past by quickly – this girl he learned to adore
Valentine’s Day is a special day they’ll always keep
That’s when they realized their feelings for each other were deep
Javier carried around for months – a ring for Heather he had bought
But he was much too nervous to propose – or so he thought
But he finally found the moment to pop the question “Will You Marry Me?”
Why he even got down in front of Heather - bending on one knee
Now today two hearts become one as they pledge their special love
In front of family, friends, and God above
MY LOVE POEM FOR LAURA ON OUR WEDDING DAY
Having arrived at work one morning – without a hint nor even a clue
That a beautiful, breathtaking female - would suddenly come into view
My eyes were suddenly focused – I stared right in front of me
I had no way of knowing - I was looking at my future bride-to-be
Capturing my attention – I made introductions – and we exchanged our names
A spark was suddenly ignited – my life would never again be the same
Throughout the year we worked together – we rapidly became friends
Then I found the courage to ask her out – that’s how our romance did begin
After dating for 2 months – my love grew stronger every day
So I prepared to pop the question – in a very special way
While Laura was at work – her dad let me into her house to prepare
I cooked and cleaned hurriedly – I knew I had not a minute to spare
When Laura arrived home – she was definitely surprised
You could tell she was pleased – for it showed in her eyes
The carefully laid rose petals – which I’d placed on the floor
Led her into the kitchen – where she was surprised even more
She gave me a grin – she hugged me real tight
She was thinking how romantic I was on this night
I asked her to light the candles – I had carefully placed
When she reached to light the second one – my pulse began to race
Her hand seemed to freeze – it suddenly dangled in mid-air
She spotted the ring on the candle – oh, how it did glare
I got down on one knee – I asked her to marry me
She said yes without hesitation – my heart jumped with glee
Laura gives me hope, strength and happiness – she’s the one I adore
She’s changed my life for the better – her love I will never ignore
On June 10th I plan on turning her dreams into reality
I’m going to spend my life making her happy – she’s my #1 PRI-OR-ITY!
